The Indian cricket team, who won the T20 World Cup, landed in Delhi early on Thursday morning by a special charter jet. Five days have passed since they won the championship in Barbados, where they had to stay longer due to a strong category 4 hurricane.
There was a sea of devoted supporters in the arrivals section of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, their cheers slightly dampened by the drizzle. In the audience, flags fluttered and vibrant placards expressing admiration for their preferred players bobbed, with all eyes focused on the gate where the winning squad would shortly emerge.
Leading the way out of the airport, Virat Kohli boarded the team bus ahead of the others. Coach Paras Mhambrey, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, and a few more trailed closely behind.
After they arrive, view Team India’s entire schedule.
